Physicians Formula Holdings, Inc. announced financial results for the nine and three months ended Sept. 30, 2007. Net sales for the first nine months of 2007 were $77.6 million, an increase of 12.6%. Gross sales for the first nine months of 2007 were $112.4 million, an increase of 23.1%.
   
Net sales for the third quarter of 2007 were $19.8 million, an increase of 9.4%. Gross sales for the third quarter of 2007 were $30.2 million, an increase of 15.7%. The company noted a slight favorable shift towards higher priced and higher margin face products.
